Blind Rocks

Blanket Distribution to 35 Blind Children

On 18th January, Blindrocks! and Bright star society together distributed warm blankets to the thirty five blind and differently disabled children residing in Rehabilitation hub in Children’s Hospital for Eye and Ear rehabilitation Services (CHEERS) which is situated in Lokanthali Bhaktapur.

We are extremely grateful towards our kind donors, supporters and volunteers who made this possible and helped us to bring smiles on their faces. More importantly we are also very pleased and grateful to CHEERS for giving us the opportunity to be a part of their mission by giving us access to this rehabilitation center. CHEERS is dedicated to empowering children with hearing and visual impairment so that they are prepared to be enrolled in schools for inclusive education as a part of mainstream education system. Children as young as 3 years are trained at this Center. This is the first time that children under 6 years with disability are being enrolled in early Childhood Development Centers in Nepal, all credit goes to CHEERS.
