The Award and Crowning Ceremony” of Mr/Ms Blind Rockers season 03

We initiated this program for person with visual impairment to help them be empowered, be confident, for their self-development, bigger exposure, eliminate prejudice and to help them be independent.

We were on the onset of third season of Mr/Ms Blind Rockers. We had 21 contestants who were competent for this event and the winners were already announced on August 2021. But due to the onset of pandemic and considering the safety precautions for the blind participants, we were not able to do the crowning and award ceremony.

However, with the love and support from all, we were able to invite all our contestants to Kathmandu for the ceremony. In order to rejuvenate the training course that we had provided virtually, we conducted three days residential intensive training. They were trained in soft skills, interpersonal skills and personality development which boost them with a vibration of positive energy. Our official choreographer Ms Urussa Joshi, Miss Grand Nepal 2018 mentored our participants for ramp walk. They also learnt movement on the group performance that they performed on the final event. Additionally, as an invitation to step outside the limitations, to signify liberty and ability to take flight high up in the life, we flew balloons up in the sky and cherish the moment together during our excursion visit to Bhaktapur heritage site.

After three days intensive residential training, we were all set for the grand event that was held on March 19, 2022 at German Homes Hospitality. All our 21 blind contestants were rocking and shining on the stage flaunting their white cane and walking on the ramp with confident. Our girls looked gorgeous with Muku wear and boys looked stunning with Shrestha Tailoring attire, complemented by New Creation Nepal make-up.
Each of them had a wonderful chance to exhibit their talents. We were honoured to have Mega Star Karishma Manandhar as our chief guest along with juries-Media Personality Malvika Shubba, Actor Prasant Tamrakar; and Activist Dr. Birendra Raj Pokhrel. We owe deepest gratitude to their guidance, patience, motivation and support. Also thanks to all our special guests, mentors, sponsors, media and all volunteers who came and supported us with full spirit and enthusiasm. A big shout out to all our Blind Rocks board members, our dedication, hard work, effort and team spirit is the key to the success for the event.
